Review: Scavenger Types
Scavenger Types
I first heard of Scavenger Types while I was living only a few minutes away from the bassist. Through our mutual love of comics, smoking and burgers, we became good friends. As soon as their Too Fat & Too Skinny EP graced my iTunes, it has remained in my most-played category.
Combining dark jokes and childish antics, driven by beer and adrenaline; their live shows always left me full of admiration for three musicians who played without pretence or worry. It’s a sad shame (for me, at least) that they are now focussing on other musical endeavours. Their unique brand of ska rhythms and skate punk will be sorely missed on the local circuit.
